What is In-hand schooling?

In-hand schooling is another super useful groundwork tool for horses of all levels. There is a great deal you can achieve whilst working your horses in-hand.

For example working in-hand can be useful for teaching a new movement (shoulder in for example), whether your horse is young or old! It enables you to be very precise and show the horse exactly what you want in those early stages so you can then easily replicate it under saddle and the horse will already be familiar with the movement! It is also a great way to see exactly what the horse is doing when performing a certain movement and make easy corrections where needed.

 Horses that are coming back into work or recovering from injury can greatly benefit from in-hand work too.

How Does It Work?

This isn't a set "course" like some of the other topics. Each video is a certain amount to purchase (some are even free!) and you can pick and choose which video(s) you would like to view to help you in that area or if you like the sound of a specific exercise.
